Mojo Band
Mojo sings and Miklos plays until his guitar catches fire, especially on Hendrix tunes. Jim Van Streader on bass and myself round out this one-night affair to the crowd's delight. Having met the lead vocal and guitarist for the first time just hours before the hit, it turned out to be a box-of-chocolates kind of night.
Drum Solo
Taking a drum solo over the song form without prior notice can be a troublesome endeavor, but sometimes it can yield promising outcomes. You decide.

Marvin Leo Forte from Jason Adams on Vimeo.
Marvin Leo Forte is a singer/songwriter who writes creative indie pop rock. This video was shot at The Sail Inn in Tempe on March 29, 2014 during the so-called "International Pop Overthrow" concert where local artists rotated throughout the evening and showcased their original music. The 70s Ludwig Vistalite acrylic drums featured in this clip were provided as backline by the club for that night's event, so every drummer that night had to make due with its antiquity and "thuddy" sounds. Luckily, I brought my own snare and cymbals and was able to provide some audible pleasantries, but the rest of the kit was beyond approach. Still, I made it work. At the end of the night, after much imbibing of the local swill by the patrons of The Sail Inn, I doubt anyone else noticed or cared how the drums looked or sounded.

Uncle Mike Band from Jason Adams on Vimeo.
The Uncle Mike Band was the brainchild of Mike Bailey and Alan DeQuina--two of the valley's most notable talents in music. I was fortunate to have been a member of this group years ago and consider it one of my most memorable musical experiences. Mike was a natural and, as you can see, delivered impressive renditions of artists like James Brown, Bob Marley, Average White Band, and countless other greats. He was also known for singing the Metropolitan Mattress radio commercial back in the late 1990s. This video is in honor of the late, great Mike Bailey.

Book of Shred: Straight Up from Jason Adams on Vimeo.
This video was shot in Downtown Phoenix inside Studio 806. The studio owner was gracious enough to allow us to shoot there free of charge and the videographer, Garrett Cook, also offered his time, equipment and prowess pro bono.
Given our shoestring budget, the band members agreed on an 80's workout motif consisting of cheaply gotten gym garb, sweat bands and all, and we began filming without any preconceived notion of how the direction of the video would go. We just showed up an embarrassment of three, and the rest just worked itself out naturally.
